Winter makes ‘grand’ entrance in the Tetons!
Howdy Campers, past, present, and future—
Recently, someone looking to book a family getaway called to inquire about the best time of year to stay here at Moose Creek Ranch. It’s a fair question. The majority of our guests visit us between the warmer months of July and October, I explained. However I was at that moment feeling in awe of the beauty and tranquility on display right outside our window. A recent snowfall had swaddled the Tetons in a blanket of white, while a few remaining leaves stubbornly clung to some of our resident aspen trees.
“Who could ever be unsatisfied about being ‘stuck’ here now,” I thought, then tried to politely make that case to the caller. (In the end, a springtime reservation better suited her family’s schedule.)
While it’s true that Moose Creek Ranch historically has operated each summer as seasonal resort, we humbly invite you to stay with us anytime of year!
At this very moment, an impressive winter storm system is covering our beloved guest ranch under inches of snow. The outdoor firepits may be buried, but a great stone fireplace warmly invites you cozy up inside of the Main Lodge.
Soon skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides will occupy the vacation itineraries of many of our guests. But for now, what could beat enjoying a crackling fire while watching Old Man Winter make his grand, inevitable entrance?
Warmly,
“Camp Director” Ben
