Grand Targhee Summer Resort

Summer on the West Side

Grand Targhee’s summer season trades snow for singletrack. The Dreamcatcher chairlift climbs 2,000 feet to the top of Fred’s Mountain, opening onto more than 70 miles of trails — cross-country routes through wildflower meadows and technical, lift-served downhill runs built for riders who came for exactly that. The pace here is slower than the winter crowds might suggest: a pool and hot tub at the base, a kids’ zone with a climbing wall and mining sluice, and two of the valley’s longest-running music festivals through July and August.
