Grand Targhee Ski Resort
Winter on the West Side
On the far side of the Tetons from Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee holds some of the deepest snow in the range — over 500 inches most winters, spread across more than 2,000 acres of terrain. Five lifts carry riders up Fred’s Mountain and Peaked Mountain, where wide-open groomers sit alongside steeper pitches and glades for those who want them. It’s a working mountain, not a scene: accessed from the Idaho side, short lines, a quiet base village, and views of the Tetons from angles most visitors never get from the Jackson side.
